For this project, I wanted to explore using hot glue to create the shape for my resin lotus flower. I found that hot glue was flexible enough to bend the resin into the desired shape.Â
I initially created four layers for this project, however, I found that three was more than enough to create the look I was after.

Will the color fade out of this flower if it is placed outside?
Hi Ruth
The colour may fade over time. My biggest concern would be regarding the resin. All resins yellow over time and UV LIGHT from the sun speeds this process up. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend placing your resin outdoors.
Kind regards, Sue
