For this project, I used foil for the centre and created a barrier of acrylic diamonds to keep the different colours from running into each other.
Using foil adds an extra dimension and shine to the piece, I would highly recommend you giving this a go. You won’t be disappointed with the results.
For this project I used:
- MDFBoard 120 x 60 cm
- White Wood Primer
- Black Acrylic Paint for the base colour
- Aluminium Foil
- Acrylic Diamonds https://amzn.to/2Y7pVJi*
- Acrylic Shapes https://amzn.to/2Xb4YPX*
- Crushed Glass from Ikea – alternative product: https://amzn.to/2WCPS1R*
- India Ink – Teal and Blue https://amzn.to/2TiyYDy*
- Colour Obsession Pigment Paste – Stormy Seas (Dark Blue)
- Le Rez Expressions Epoxy Pigment Paste – Angel White http://bit.ly/lerezmatpaste.

Hi saw your bowl making .. I noticed the resin doesn’t fall . I generally mix 2 part resin and 1 part hardner it’s very flowey . Can u please help me what measurements for both I should use
Thank you for your enquiry.
You need to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for mixing your resin. The resin I use is a 1:1 resin and may have a different consistency to yours. The key thing is to leave your resin to semi-cure (non-sticky) before moving it. This regardless of which type of resin you are using. Good luck with your project. Sue
I would love to have a go at this resin art for my own use I have never attempted anything before like this but am very creative. Would love to know how to start Sue please can you advise/assist. Great descriptions and tutorial very impressed makes me want to do it even more 😊

Hi Sue,
I absolutely love all of your art work. I am very new to resin and acrylic art. I plan to purchase your e book. What Resin did you use for this project? I did not see it listed in the supply list.
Thank you .
Thank you 💕 I use U Resin, resins for all of my resin art.
Hi. Your work is absolutely beautiful. I was wondering if you have a brand of resin that you prefer for this type of artwork. Is it epoxy resin?
Hi Cherie
I use an Epoxy Resin from U Resin. I was using their Standard UV Resin but now use their Liquid Glass Resin.
Beautiful piece of art. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it. Sue
Beautifully explained .thank you
Thank you and my pleasure xx
Love your Art Sue!! You inspire me.Is it best to purchase a heat gun or will the blow drier suffice?Thankyou for your help Lenore
I would recommend a heat gun over a hairdryer. A hairdryer doesn’t give the same control. Sue
