My plan for this one was to paint on the curing resin BEFORE it had fully cured. The idea was to avoid having to sand the original layer of resin. How it almost failed was that in some places it was still quite sticky and I nearly ended up with a lumpy mess.

I went with it and managed to salvage it, by continuing with the painting and adding another layer of resin directly over the top.

If I were to do it again, I would wait until the resin had cured further (maybe another hour or two) before painting. I would also execute a better painting technique. There is definitely more room for improvement and as such, I hope that it helps with ideas for your next resin piece.
