For this project, I was challenged to create a lava themed piece by my daughter, Emma. She really liked my Ocean-inspired piece and said she would like to see a Lava-inspired one this time.

To create the hot red lava, I used bright red and orange India Ink. This is so that light can pass through the piece. You will see in the video how I added an LED light to help it glow at night.
For the molten rock, I used Acrylic Gems, mixed with some resin, again colour with India Ink. Only this time I used a small amount of black to maintain the translucency.

For this project I used:

• U-Resin Standard UV
• Cling Wrap
• India Ink https://amzn.to/2TiyYDy*
• Acrylic Diamonds https://amzn.to/2Y7pVJi*
• Plastic Tray (upside-down)
• Heat Gun to pop the bubbles
• Round Vase on top of a tube to mould the shape
