This drawing is a watercolour pencil drawing on watercolour paper. The artwork is mounted with a white matt board and framed in a white frame, glazed in TrueVue glass to protect the artwork from moisture, dust and scratches but to reduce the glare on the glass, allowing for a better view of the artwork.
Emu
The emu is the second-largest bird after the Ostrich.
Flightless birds are native to Australia and cover most of the mainland.
It appears on the Australian Coat of Arms alongside the Kangaroo and holds the shield with pride.
